Marina Del Cid Bardales, AMFT

Mariana is a bilingual therapist passionate about helping diverse populations overcome barriers and live fulfilling lives. Leading with warmth, she builds collaborative relationships with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She supports her clients in managing stress, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, self-identity concerns, relationship difficulties, and family conflict. 

Mariana believes that in order to help others achieve their goals and get un-stuck, it is important that they feel safe and empowered. Her therapeutic approach is informed by humanistic principles that promote human dignity and enable others to reach their full potential. She also uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), in which she teaches clients how to be more positive and optimistic about their future. She is especially sensitive to exploring cultural and societal factors that may impact a client’s well-being. In addition, Mariana is able to provide therapy for Spanish-speaking individuals.

Mariana earned her Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and Criminology from the University of California, Irvine. She has expertise in providing trauma-informed care to people of color from her experiences of having been a K-12 educator and behavior interventionist for youth with special needs within underserved communities. Additionally, she completed her graduate training at the Emmada Institute of Behavioral Health and Wellness providing culturally responsive mental health services to low-income youth and their families.
