Insurance: In-Network provider for Anthem Blue Cross and an out of network PPO provider. Most insurance companies have a PPO benefit that pays 40-60% of the session. We are happy to provide you with a receipt, which may allow you to receive reimbursement from your insurance company. Please call us to verify your insurance benefits. This ensures that issues of confidentiality are maintained. Often, third party reimbursement (insurance) may not be in the best interest of the client. Specifically: 1. All of your information, including diagnosis, may be processed in an electronic system accessible by others, and may be used in the future in a legal, professional, or adverse way. 2. Often insurance companies authorize a limited number of sessions even if you and your therapist believe that you may require more sessions. In such situations, your insurance company can determine the level of care you receive based on the policies of your managed care plan. 3. Several managed care plans will not cover adjustment issues, including life transitions, couples counseling, family conflicts or other issues that they determine are not “medically necessary”.
